A “Men in Healthcare” event is being held at Amarillo College on Thursday.

The event is part of Amarillo College’s effort to encourage and support men in non-traditional gender careers, particularly in healthcare.

It’ll be held at College’s West Campus at 6222 SW 9th Ave, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Those in attendance will get a chance to learn more about available careers in healthcare and how the school can help them to their goal.

The event is free and open to the community, Amarillo College students, and high school students. Those who attend can tour Amarillo College’s learning facilities, have lunch, attend a speaker panel featuring industry professionals, and receive advising and registration assistance for Amarillo College’s healthcare programs.

Amarillo College offers programs in Dental Hygiene, respiratory care, occupational therapy assistant, radiation therapy, and more.
